Belarus prepares video for 2018 ASE Planetary Congress bid

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov hosted a meeting to consider Belarus’ bid for the 31st Planetary Congress of the Association of Space Explorers in 2018, BelTA learned from the government’s press service.

The meeting discussed the video presentation of the Belarusian bid to host Planetary Congress of the Association of Space Explorers in 2018, and also heard out the reports on the implementation of the instructions given at the previous meeting.

The video presentation demonstrates Belarus as a space power, the achievements of the Belarusian science in space activities, the participation of Belarusian nationals in the outer space exploration.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Information Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the National State TV and Radio Company, Peleng Company, the R&D enterprise Geoinformation Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and also Head of the Russian Federation of Cosmonautics, pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok.
