Belarus’ position on improving EaP results presented in Brussels

MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ position on improving the activity of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) initiative has been presented in Brussels, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation led by Denis Sidorenko, the Director of the European Cooperation Department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took part in the annual meeting of the senior officials of the Eastern Partnership initiative. “At the meeting the Belarusian delegation presented the country’s position on developing relations with the European Union and improving the activity of the Eastern Partnership,” the press service noted.

The meeting highlighted a review of the intermediate results in the implementation of the Eastern Partnership project, the reformation of the European neighborhood policy and preparations to the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Eastern Partnership member states in Brussels in May 2016.

Denis Sidorenko and Belarus’ Permanent Representative in the EU Andrei Yevdochenko also took part in the meeting of the heads of the delegations of six EaP member states with Secretary General of the European External Action Service Alain Le Roy.
