Belarus PM to attend EEU Intergovernmental Council meeting in Bishkek

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov is expected to take part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Bishkek on 7 March, BelTA learned from Belarus PM’s spokesman Vladislav Sychevich.

The agenda of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting will include 12 issues. The heads of government are expected to discuss the state of mutual trade in 2015-2016, the economic sectors with an integration potential in the Eurasian Economic Union, measures aimed at utilizing this potential and also the ways to remove barriers in the development of the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The parties will coordinate joint forecasts for the development of the agro-industrial complex, the demand and supply in the EEU member states on the main types of agricultural products and food for 2017. The meeting will also focus on the organization of the production of component parts for farm machinery and equipment, analogous to those made in third countries. The heads of government will discuss measures to boost the export of farm machinery and equipment, produced in the EEU states, to third countries.
