Belarus, Pakistan interested in maintaining positive momentum of cooperation

MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - Belarus and Pakistan are interested in maintaining the positive momentum of relations. The statement was made during a meeting between Belarus’ Minister of Foreing Affairs Vladimir Makei and outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Masood Khan Raja, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Vladimir Makei thanked the diplomat for his constructive contribution to the development and strengthening of the Belarusian-Pakistani relations in a broad range of areas and noted that during the tenure of Pakistan’s first ambassador the two countries held big bilateral events that laid a solid foundation for the development of cooperation between the two countries.

The parties noted that the two countries have the potential to step up the political dialogue and increase trade and economic partnership and expressed their mutual interest in maintaining the positive momentum of interaction.
