MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Latvia will talk about cooperation in arms control in Riga, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
Representatives of the armed forces of Belarus and Latvia are scheduled to hold a working meeting in Riga on 6-8 February. According to the ministry, the meeting will be dedicated to the implementation of a Belarus-Latvia agreement on additional confidence and security-building measures.
“During the working meeting, the sides will assess the status of the implementation of this agreement in 2017, discuss proposals to boost the effectiveness of the additional confidence and security-building measures, and coordinate bilateral cooperation in arms control in 2018,” the ministry remarked.
