Belarus, Kazakhstan to step up cooperation in combating corruption

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Kazakhstan will expand cooperation in combating corruption, the Belarusian embassy in Kazakhstan told BelTA following the meetings held by Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova during her visit to the country.

Natalya Kochanova met with Kazakhstan’s State Secretary Gulshara Abdykalikova, Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Dzhaksybekov, and Deputy Chairperson of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption Aygul Shaimova. “The sides exchanged views on public administration and anti-corruption effort. They agreed to develop cooperation between relevant Belarus’ and Kazakhstan’s government bodies and agencies,” the embassy noted.

Natalya Kochanova also attended the international forum Women for Future Energy to present Belarus’ approaches to the green economy. The forum was organized on the sidelines of the Astana Expo 2017 and is meant to consider possibilities and ways of shifting the global community to the green economy and the use of alternative energy. "In a welcome speech, Natalya Kochanova talked about Belarus’ approaches to the development of the green economy, and also about current Belarus’ legislation,” the embassy said.

Natalya Kochanova is in Kazakhstan on a working visit from 31 August to 1 September.
