Belarus' Investigative Committee keen to study FBI's experience

MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Investigative Committee is interested in studying FBI’s experience in crime investigation, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Ivan Noskevich said during a visit to the FBI Training Academy, BelTA learned from the Investigative Committee.

The delegation of Belarus’ Investigative Committee led by chairman of the committee Ivan Noskevich visited the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, on 31 January. During the visit to the FBI main training center the Belarusian guests were told about the history of the academy and the current training programs. The FBI Academy library has the law-enforcement materials from around the world, different audio visual materials, publications on law, governmental documents, periodicals and online resources.

The delegation of the Investigative Committee got familiar with the FBI Training Academy and suggested the priority areas in bilateral cooperation. “We are interested in exchanging the information with the U.S. counterparts on the ways to combat crimes. We are also keen to study the FBI experience in crime investigation and application of the latest technologies and scientific achievements,” the chairman of the Investigative Committee said.

Ivan Noskevich also reaffirmed the commitment of the Investigative Committee to share its best practices in investigating different types of crimes.
