MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Belgium, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the European Union Alexander Mikhnevich presented his credentials to President of the European Council Donald Tusk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“During the meeting the parties discussed the current positive dynamics in the relations between Belarus and the EU, the prospects for further development of cooperation in several areas, the Eastern Partnership initiative and the situation in the region,” the press service informed.
Alexander Mikhnevich informed Donald Tusk on the outcome of the meeting of the Belarus-EU coordination group in Minsk, on the visit of the members of the Political and Security Committee of the EU Council to Belarus, and their meeting with Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko.
