MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) –Belarus-Estonia ministerial consultations on consular issues took place in Tallinn, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Head of the Main Consular Department of Belarus' Ministry of Foreign Affairs Igor Fisenko. The Estonian delegation was led by Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Kersti Eesmaa.

“The sides exchanged experience in supporting people in emergency situations, improvement of the procedure to legalize and confirm the authenticity of documents. They discussed peculiarities of the registration of civil statuses, law enforcement practices in consular issues, development of the legal framework of bilateral cooperation in consular issues,” the press release of the press service reads. Apart from that, the sides discussed Belarus’ consular cooperation with the European Union member states.
