MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus should establish tighter cultural ties with Venezuela, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Oleg Paferov on 3 October.
“We have to establish tighter cultural ties. In my opinion, these ties are insufficiently developed for now,” said Oleg Paferov.
The diplomat noted that, for instance, last year the embassy managed to arrange the visit of only one Belarusian art representative to Venezuela — the young composer Konstantin Yaskov. His performance in Caracas met strong interest on the part of the local residents. The ambassador believes that better results can be achieved in this sphere, provided the relevant agencies work hard for it.
Oleg Paferov also drew attention to the need to step up interaction in tourism. In his opinion, Venezuelan citizens know little about Belarus, but are willing to learn more.
