Private business exploring SES opportunities

DOMODEDOVO, 9 February (BelTA) – Private business has started vigorously exploring opportunities offered by the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. The comment was made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Andrei Kobyakov at the presentation of a Belarusian-Russian logistics project in Domodedovo, Moscow Oblast on 9 February.

“It is that very case that allows us to really feel advantages the Single Economic Space offers to businessmen,” said Andrei Kobyakov. “Two identical transportation and logistics centers will be created near Minsk and near Moscow. They will have international level temporary storage facilities and common information technologies. Foreign trade participants will be able to choose the place where customs clearance is more convenient for them. All these factors will allow considerably reducing costs and improving the quality of services”.

The project is implemented by the Belarusian company OOO Belintertrans and the Russian company OOO ZollRu by creating a joint venture OOO ZollBel. The participants have modern warehouse facilities in the town of Rakov, Minsk Oblast and at the Kashirsky customs post, Moscow Oblast. Besides, the Russian partners use their own latest information, customs and logistics technologies that will be introduced in Belarus.

The participants believe in the near future many Russian companies will be willing to use customs clearance in Belarus. Besides, transporting agencies from any country will be able to pass customs procedures while their cargoes are loaded or unloaded at the western border of the Customs Union.
