MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The international forum on commercial mediation for the countries of Eastern Europe and Middle Asia will take place in Minsk on 11-12 October, BelTA learnt from spokeswoman for the Justice Ministry Olga Murashkovskaya.
Attending the forum will be Justice Ministers and Chairpersons of Supreme Courts from 11 countries, a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and also foreign experts in commercial mediation. They will exchange experience on commercial mediation development. Later, universal proposals will be developed to advance commercial mediation to the countries of Eastern Europe and Middle Asia.
The Justice Ministry plans to publish materials covering the most important matters related to mediation development in Belarus, the law on mediation, its application practices and so on.
The Justice Ministry has been authorized for legislative regulation of the legal institute of mediation and the creation of favorable conditions for its development in the country.
The organizers of the forum are the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the law firm Vlasova, Mikhel and Partners. The national cofounder and co-organizer is the Justice Ministry of Belarus that will also assist in the organization of a press conference.
