Investment agreement worth $1.2m signed in Postavy

VITEBSK, 6 June (BelTA) – An investment agreement worth $1.2 million and two cooperation agreements were signed at the forum in Postavy, BelTA learned from the Postavy District Executive Committee.

The investment agreement to refurbish Bishevsky homestead in the village Lyntupy, an architectural monument of the XIX century, is implemented by the Russian investor. Manor-park complex includes manor house, outbuildings, rubble bridge, park, chapel, three ponds. Within three years a recreation complex will be built there. The investor incurred obligations to preserve this monument included in the list of the historic and cultural heritage.

Two more letters of intent to implement investment projects by Russian investors will be signed in the near future as potential investors could not attend the forum. These projects are the construction of the trade center in Postavy and the construction of the petrol station.

Lithuania’s Underhill Baltic is interested in purchasing products of Postavymebel Company and some other plants of the region. The Lithuanian company and the Postavy District Executive Committee signed an industrial and economic cooperation agreement. The Postavy District Executive Committee and the National and Cultural Autonomy of Belarusians in Russia’s Moscow Oblast also agreed on cooperation.

The Investment Forum included the awarding ceremony to honor the best enterprises of the district. A diploma “Best Products of the Republic of Belarus” was bestowed upon Postavy Dairy Factory and other companies. Moreover, the plant was awarded a diploma “Best Belarusian Goods in Russia.”

Partaking in the Postavy Investment Forum were businessmen from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, China, Kazakhstan, Estonia, and Poland. It was held within the 14th international dulcimer and accordion music festival in Postavy on 3-5 June. These events welcomed about 800 people.
