MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Ecuador is interested in inviting Belarusian construction companies for the sake of restoring the regions hit by the recent earthquake, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Larrea Davila on 26 September.
A powerful earthquake hit Ecuador in April 2016. Belarus sent a batch of humanitarian aid to the country. “Now Belarus may take part in the restoration of the regions hit by the earthquake in Ecuador,” said the Ambassador. In his words, negotiations are underway with several Belarusian companies. The possibility of implementing the relevant projects is being discussed. “We would like the restoration work to be done taking into account the criteria used to build Belarusian homes,” he stressed.
The Ambassador also noted that the motorway traffic control system project and the Belarusian experience of implementing it and using the system deserve attention and are interesting for Ecuador.
