China to invest another $10bn in Belarus

GOMEL, 3 February (BelTA) – China will invest another $10 billion in Belarus’ economy, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky told media in Gomel on 3 February.

According to the official, the Belarusian government expects a PRC Vice Premier to visit Belarus. “We have agreed on attracting new investments to the tune of $10 billion to Belarus. The money will be used to build up Belarus’ economic potential,” said Sergei Sidorsky.

The Prime Minister reminded that an agreement had been reached with Eximbank of China to attract credit resources to the amount of $5.7 billion to Belarus. The money will start being fleshed out with specific projects this year.
